NUGGETs is a platform for authors and artists with personal stories or viewpoints. Essayists represent different aspects of our social matrix. Storytellers come from all walks of life and perceive reality from varied perspectives. Artists combine design and colour to expand an interior vision into hitherto untouched dimensions.

The northern spirit is unique in that winter chill forces us indoors, often in solitude, where we contemplate before a fire or by a lamp, drinking mulled wine and valuing the warmth. From such times emerge creations - poems, stories, paintings, pictorial or verbal essays - that reflect our long dark nights for the soul.

Canada’s brief summers enliven us and draw us outside, to enjoy the nurturing sun together. Then winter returns again, deep white in its water and wind, deep blue in its sky and ice, deep green in its arching trees.
