Helen Iacovino
I was born in Montreal, started writing at a
very young age, and have a degree in English literature from McGill
University. Over the years my poetry has appeared in a number of
literary magazines, including Canadian Author and Bookman, CV II,
Kairos, Puerto del Sol and Atlantis, as well as the anthologies
Cross/Cut (Quebec Poetry) and Shoreline. (Some of these publications
were under my maiden name, Helen Kosacky.)
Living in Toronto since 1984, I am married and
have two teenage children and one cat. My poetry has always dealt
with exploration, always about the “growing edge,” not
about what is known but rather what is being explored.
